IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The 1:64 Modeling Guide magazine is now an e-zine.
This means print production of the magazine has ended. Please read the following “Q&A” for details about the transition.
Why did this happen?
After examining the current cash flow of the enterprise and doing some financial projections, it became clear that the current business model did not work. I believe that making this change will ensure continued publication at a higher quality, and at a lower cost.
How has the magazine’s quality improved?
The magazine’s quality has improved by the addition of full color photos and graphics throughout each issue, along with features you can only do with an electronic publication, such as links to manufacturers and suppliers (see our e-Feature articles). In addition, the magazine is no longer be limited to 32 pages.
The feedback I’ve received from readers is overwhelmingly in favor of the new format. In fact, a few new subscribers have come on board specifically because of the change to an e-zine!
What is the new price for a subscription?
The new subscription prices are $21.95 for 4 issues and $39.95 for 8 issues - worldwide!
Will I still be able to purchase an individual copy?
Yes. The price for each individual electronic copy will be $5.95.
How is the magazine produced and distributed?
The magazine is produced as a PDF and e-mailed directly to you.
How often will the magazine be produced?
The magazine will remain a quarterly, for now.
I am a current subscriber and my subscription renews automatically on PayPal under the old subscription rates. How do you handle this?
I try to cancel old subscriptions before the auto-renewal date. If an old subscription auto-renews before I get a chance to cancel it, I wlll do one of two things depending on how many issues you have remaining on your subscription:
-
1)I will issue a refund in full and cancel the subscription with an explanation.
-
2)I will e-mail you and offer you either additional issues at the below conversion rate, or offer to refund the difference between the old subscription renewal rate and the new 1-year rate of $21.95

If your old subscription was at the:
Standard USPS mail rate, you will receive 5 issues, instead of 4.
1st Class USPS or Canada, you will receive 6 issues, instead of 4.
International rate, you will receive 7 issues, instead of 4.
What if I don’t want an electronic subscription? Can I get a refund?
I sincerely hope that you’ll continue to be a valued subscriber, but if you cancel your subscription you will be refunded either the full amount of your new or renewal subscription, or the remaining portion of an existing subscription. Refunds will be issued within 90 days of receipt of your request.
Will you continue to pay contributors?
Yes. Payments to contributors will remain at the current published rates.
Please check back here periodically for additional information. If you have any questions not covered above, please feel free to contact me. Thank you for your continuing support.
